We are posting directions for our riders that are coming from the WASHINGTON, BALTIMORE AND 270 AREAS TOWARD FREDERICK and a set of directions for those riders that are coming from WEST VIRGINIA, CHARLES TOWN AND HARPERS FERRY. PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE DIRECTIONS THAT APPLY TO YOUR TRAVELLING PLANS. YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO GET HERE AS THE MAIN ROAD—SANDY HOOK ROAD—IS CLOSED FOR AN UNSPECIFIED AMOUNT OF TIME. FROM WASHINGTON AREA TO FREDERICK: From Frederick pick up 340 west towards Harpers Ferry. Stay on 340 until you pass sign saying you are entering Washington County. After that sign you will see an EXIT for Rt. 67/Boonsboro. Take the exit and remain on Rt. 67 for about 6.5 miles to TREGO ROAD which will be on your left. Turn left and stay on Trego Rd. For 1.8 miles. After 1.8 miles Trego Rd. Turns into Mr. Briar Rd. Stay on Mt. Briar Rd. For .3 miles, then make left onto Porterstown Road. Stay on Porterstown Rd. For .2 miles. Take a left onto Burnside Bridge Road. Stay on Burnside Bridge Rd. For 2.1 miles and then make a left onto Mills Road. Stay on Mills Rd. For 1.8 miles until you get to Harpers Ferry Road. Take a left onto Harpers Ferry Rd, stay on it for 3.5 miles, then make a slight left onto Hoffmaster Road. Go 2.6 miles and you will run into the Elk Mountain Trails entrance sign.
FROM WV, CHARLES TOWN AND HARPERS FERRY RIDERS WILL NEED TO GO THROUGH SHEPHERDSTOWN TO GET TO EMT: Take 340 to Shepherdstown Pike at Halltown. Stay on Shepherdstown Pike to Shepherdstown. At Shepherdstown, after main light, pick up Rt. 34 towards Sharpsburg. In the center of Sharpsburg take a right on Mechanic St. (Mechanics St. Turns into Harpers Ferry Road.) Follow Harpers Ferry Road to intersection of Harpers Ferry Rd/Hoffmaster Rd/Chesnut Grove Rd. Take slight left onto Hoffmaster Road and in 2.6 miles you will run into Elk Mountain Trails sign.
