 NOTE:  All riders are to arrive 30 minutes prior to start time of ride.

2019 Trails Rides     

 One (1) hour Mountain Top Trail Ride

Price: $37.00 per person, with $15.00 deposit

Good ride for beginners

 

One & one-half (1 ½) hour Mountain Top Trail Ride

Price: $50.00 per person, with $25.00 deposit

 

One & one-half (1 ½) hour Experienced Horse Enthusiasts Ride

A ride for experienced riders; trot and canter.

Must be 16yrs of age.  Limited Availability.

Price: $67.00 per person, with $40.00 deposit

 

Two (2) hour Mountain Top Trail Ride

Riders must be 10 yrs or older.

Price:  $65.00 per person, with $30.00 deposit

 

Two (2) hour Potomac River Trail Ride

Morning Potomac River ride along C&O Canal Towpath.

Riders must be 10 yrs or older.

Price: $67.00 per person, with $40.00 deposit

*Not available when Marathons on C&O Towpath

 

 

Group Discounts:

Available for groups of 8 or more with the exception of any meal ride or Horse Enthusiast (must pay with one check). 

Discounts for Military, Girl and Boy Scouts, Church and Recreational Groups.

 

Additional Information:

 Elk Mountain Trails is sanctioned by the Girl Scouts of the National Capital Area.  "Horse" Merit Badge offered for additional fee.

Boy Scout ����Horsemanship���� Merit Badge offered for additional fee

Minimum of 7 scouts for all badge work sessions.

 Limited Camping for Non-Profit Groups - $7pp a night or $13pp for 2 nights

Helmets are required for anyone 17 years or younger.

Suggested Wearing Apparel:

Long pants and hard-soled shoes with no higher than 1���� heel, sneakers or boots are fine.

NO open-toed, open-sided, open-heeled or soft-soled shoes ���� Examples include but not limited to: clogs, flip flops, watershoes, crocks, sandals, keens, etc.

 Minimum Riding Age:  6 years old and must be able to control own horse and to follow guide directions. 10 years old with some experience for 2 hour and longer rides.

 Maximum Weight Limit for Riders:  250 pounds**

(This is EMT Stable����s policy and will be strictly followed for the safety of our riders and our horses. Your cooperation is appreciated.)

Inclement Weather:  Elk Mountain Trails will call to cancel a ride, otherwise assume the ride will be going out.  If riders have any question about weather conditions, please call EMT prior to coming for the ride.

 Payment Policy:  CASH OR CHECK

NOTE: Prices do not include 5% MD Amusement Tax (Non-Profit organizations exempt) or Guide Gratuity.

 Deposit, Refund and Cancellation Policy

DEPOSIT:  Deposits must be received within ten (10) days of making your reservation.  

REFUND:  Meal Ride & Horse Enthusiast Ride Deposits (Brunch, Lunch, Dinner, and All Day Ride) are non-refundable due to limited availability. For all other rides the deposit is refundable, with two (2) weeks notice given. 

ALL DEPOSITS REFUNDABLE if Elk Mountain Trails cancels ride due to weather, etc. 

For persons arriving late for their scheduled ride, the deposit will not be refunded.

Prices for rides are subject to change without notice.
