One (1) hour and One & half (1 1/2) Hour Trail Rides*
Fun and safe for children and beginners.
Ride through scenic wilderness areas with wildlife and overlooks.
Before and after daylight savings, rides leave at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
April 1st - October 27th, rides leave at 10am, 12 noon, 2pm, and 4pm.
One hour ride: Price $29.00 per person, with $10.00 deposit.
One & half hour ride: Price $42.00 per person with $20.00 deposit.
One & half (1 1/2) Hours Experience Horse Enthusiasts Ride *
A ride for experienced riders; trot & cantor.
Fridays at 4:00 pm & Saturdays at 8:00 am
Price $58.00 per person, with $30.00 deposit.
Two (2) hour Trail Ride*
C&O Canal "Early Bird" morning river ride.
Before and after daylight savings, ride leaves at 9am.
April 1st - October 27th, rides leave at 8am and 10am.
Price $58.00 per person, with $30.00 deposit.
Four (4) hour lunch Rides*
Rides go out Saturday and Sunday throughout the season, 10am to 2pm.
Complete lunch** (see sample meal below) served on the river.
Price $88.00 per person, with $45.00 deposit required.
Four (4) hour
Moonlight Dinner Rides*
Rides go out Saturdays around the full moon, leaving at 4pm and returning around 8-8:30pm.

Campfire with beverages and dessert at the ranch upon conclusion of the ride.
Price $98.00 per person, with $50.00 non-refundable deposit, due to limited number of riders.
All day Rides*
An all day adventure ride along the Potomac River including lunch.
Price $175.00 per person, paid in full at time of reservation
(8 people minimum)

Girl Scouts' "Horse Fan", "Horse Rider" and "Horse Sense"
badge work offered.
Boy Scout Merit Badge also offered.
Also limited camping (information available upon request).
Elk Mountain Trails sanctioned by the Girl Scouts of the National
Capital Area.
Deposit Policy
Deposits that are not received within 10 days of reservation will be considered null and void
For reservations made within 7 days of ride, deposit not required
Weight Policy*
Rider maximum weight limit of 240 pounds
Cancellation Policy***
Four (4) Hour Moonlight Ride, non-refundable due to limited availability
Four (4) Lunch Ride, deposit refundable, 2 weeks notice needed
All other rides deposit refundable as follows
Groups 1-4 people, 2 weeks notice needed
Groups 5 or more, 30 days notice needed
Inclement weather
Riders need to call Elk Mountain Trails on any questions on weather
Elk Mountain Trails will call to cancel, otherwise assume the ride will be going out
***Refundable deposit if ride cancelled by Elk Mountain Trails due to weather, etc.
